Comments welcome.  The blog you may access with the link above, is for negotiators and mediators interested in discussions of ethics, methods, tricks and techniques designed for more effective dispute resolution, achieved without sacrifice of important ethical considerations. I have been a trained professional mediator since 1994 and before that I served, while also practicing law, as a settlement judge for about 20 years in over 150 cases.   I hope to share some of that experience with you.  The expectation here is that fresh insights into the many vagaries of conflict, and evolving ideas on methods to produce better communication with deeper and clearer understandings of opposing points of view, will benefit both the profession of mediation and society generally. This site aims to provide stimulating thoughts and questions from time to time. We hope you the reader will enjoy participating in and learning from the submissions and exchanges we provoke. To send comments, questions or observations, just click the comment button at the blog site, and “go to it”.  I look forward to hearing from you.  And thanks for visiting my site. Dave Finch
